This business is an international training provider supporting the wind, offshore energy, oil & gas, maritime and industrial sectors. We deliver essential safety and technical training to people working in high-hazard environments, with operational training centres in Taiwan and Spain.

The Taiwan business supports the country’s growing offshore wind and industrial sectors from our training centre in Chiayi, with commercial activity also taking place through our Taipei office.

This placement offers a UK graduate the opportunity to gain practical international experience in a growing business operating at the centre of Taiwan’s energy transition.

We are looking for a proactive and creative intern to support our Taiwan sales, marketing and administration team. The role will involve a mix of social media content creation, marketing material development, sales support, customer engagement and training centre administration.

This is a hands-on role where the intern will contribute to real business projects, including supporting our rebrand, improving customer-facing materials, developing Social Media content, and helping the sales team engage with customers across Taiwan’s energy and industrial sectors.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the creation of LinkedIn, Facebook and other social media content.
  • Help develop a monthly content calendar.
  • Capture photos, short videos and stories from the training centre.
  • Assist with updating marketing and internal materials following the company’s rebrand.
  • Help maintain a library of brochures, course sheets, presentations and sales materials.
  • Support customer research, market mapping and competitor analysis.
  • Assist the sales team with preparation for customer visits and follow-up actions.
  • Attend selected customer meetings with the business development team.
  • Support CRM updates, customer records and commercial administration.
  • Assist with training centre administration and customer experience improvements.
  • Where language skills allow, support English / Mandarin communication during customer visits or with written materials.

Example Projects

During the placement, the intern may take ownership of projects such as:

  • Developing a LinkedIn growth and engagement plan.
  • Auditing and updating legacy marketing materials following the company’s rebrand.
  • Creating customer-facing course sheets and capability statements.
  • Producing short-form content that showcases the training centre, instructors and courses.
  • Researching target customers in Taiwan’s offshore wind, marine and industrial sectors.

What you will gain

  • Practical experience in international B2B marketing and sales support.
  • Exposure to Taiwan’s offshore wind, energy and industrial sectors.
  • Experience working in a multicultural business environment.
  • A portfolio of real marketing content and commercial projects.
  • Customer-facing experience through meetings, events and sales activity.
  • Insight into how a growing international training business operates.
  • Mentoring from experienced commercial and operational staff.

Required Skills & Eligibility

  • A recent UK graduate or final-year student.
  • A strong communicator with excellent written and spoken English
  • Has good Mandarin Chinese language skills.
  • Interested in marketing, sales, communications, international business, renewable energy or commercial operations.
  • Creative, organised and proactive.
  • Comfortable working in a small team and taking ownership of tasks.
  • Willing to be based primarily in Chiayi, with occasional travel to Taipei.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office suite and willing to learn new systems.

Useful but not essential

  • Experience creating social media content.
  • Basic design skills using Canva, Figma, Adobe Express or similar.
  • Experience with photography, video or copywriting.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, CRM systems, email marketing or website content management.
  • Interest in offshore wind, energy transition or industrial safety.

Salary

$30,000 TWD per month

Other Benefits

This is an opportunity to gain meaningful international work experience in one of Asia’s most exciting renewable energy markets. The intern will work on real projects, support live customer activity and build practical skills across marketing, sales and business operations.

The role would suit someone who wants more than a desk-based internship and is excited by the idea of living and working in Taiwan while contributing to the growth of an international business.

Start dates

August/September 2026 or March 2027

Application Process

  1. Apply via Interworking
  2. If shortlisted, you will submit your CV, a self-introduction video in English (maximum 1 minute) and a sample of your previous work in English
  3. Video interview

Our company is the supply chain representative in Taiwan for overseas clients. Our North American and Australian clients entrust us with their sourcing, production, quality  management, and project management in Taiwan. Our principle is simple: We Work for You — Not the Factory.

We don’t look at your experience, we look at you as a person. Smart, polite, easy to get along with — if you have those three, we’ll teach you the supply chain side from scratch. There’s  no waiting your turn here. Learn fast, do good work, and your pay follows.

Every Project Is Different. The clients are overseas, the factories are here in Taiwan — you’re the one in the middle who makes things happen.

We run projects across multiple industries at once, so you won’t be working on just one kind of  product:

  • Drone components — FPV cameras, motors, transmitters and receivers, carbon fiber  frames
  • Electronic components and circuit boards
  • Textiles and apparel
  • Metal parts
  • Plastic injection molding

Touching completely different processes, suppliers, and clients within a single month is the most  interesting part of this job.

You’ll get inside real factories in Taiwan. We visit our partner manufacturers regularly, and  you’ll see how injection molding, carbon fiber, and SMT lines actually run — not in a slide deck,  but standing next to the machine. For anyone who genuinely wants to understand  manufacturing, this is one of the best learning environments in Taiwan, and you don’t have to  leave the country for it.

Core Responsibilities

Project Execution (the core of this role)

  • All of our work runs on Odoo. Each client project is broken into individual tasks, and each task  already contains the data and background you need — your job is to complete it and update the  status.
  • Move your tasks through the Kanban stages: Backlog → New → In Work → Complete
  • Read the data and specifications in the task and work out the next step
  • Ask your colleagues when you’re stuck — asking questions isn’t a weakness here;  staying silent is
  • Update task status and notes promptly so both the team and the client can see progress
  • Track the timelines on your own items and flag problems early
  • Our clients can see project progress directly through the system. Every update you  write on a task is visible to them — which is also where your work gets noticed.

International Communication

  • Work with the internal team to keep project information in sync
  • Communicate in both Chinese and English with suppliers and clients in Taiwan, China,  Vietnam, North America, and Australia

Shipping and Logistics Support

Coordinate shipments from factories to clients’ designated outsourced warehouses, and  handle arrangements with customs brokers and forwarders

Administrative Support

  • Company travel arrangements
  • Other duties as assigned

You Won’t Be Left to Figure It Out Alone

  • We’re a small team, and nobody expects a new hire to know everything on day one.
  • Every task comes with the information and background you need — not a one-line  message telling you to work it out yourself
  • Your colleagues are right there — our culture is that when you ask, someone  answers; you’re not sent off to look it up alone
  • The CEO has an American engineering background and mentors directly — your  questions get straight answers Start with simple tasks and take on harder ones as you get comfortable — we want you  to succeed, not to be weeded out.

Required Skills & Eligibility

Work experience: None required — no experience and recent graduates both welcome

Education: Associate degree or above, any major

Language: Native-level Chinese; business-level English (able to write emails independently and take part in online meetings)

Computer skills: Basic Excel, Word, Google Workspace; ERP or project management system experience a plus (we’ll teach you Odoo if you don’t have it)

Our only real requirements:

  • Smart — you catch the point the first time it’s explained, and you think for yourself
  • Polite — the same way with clients, suppliers, and colleagues alike
  • Easy to work with — small team, daily collaboration; personality matters more than a résumé
  • Willing to ask — we don’t expect you to know everything, but we do expect you not to struggle in silence

Salary

$29,500 TWD per month

Other Benefits

Labor insurance, national health insurance, 6% pension contribution; two days off per week;  annual leave per the Labor Standards Act; a bilingual Chinese-English working environment;  regular visits to our partner factories in Taiwan for hands-on exposure to manufacturing; full end-to-end experience of an international hardware supply chain — sourcing → quality →  logistics → customs; strong performers get pay adjustments without waiting for an annual review.

Start dates

September/October 2026 or March 2027

Application Process

  1. Apply via Interworking
  2. If shortlisted, you will submit your CV, a self-introduction video in English (maximum 1 minute) and a sample of your previous work in English

Secure a paid 6-month Interworking placement
£ 1,195
  • Paid 6-month placement
  • Interworking Certification with our reflective course

  • Visa Application Support
  • Extend your placement at no additional cost
  • Connect with employers and alumni through our global alumni community

Interworking® is free for companies offering a placement opportunity or looking to hire our alumni. On our placement programme, companies must pay graduates a monthly stipend, which should be at least enough to cover their rent and food whilst on placement. If companies retain the graduate beyond the initial 6-month placement, there is no recruitment fee and we’ll celebrate that outcome with you!

For our Placement Programme, students and graduates pay us a programme fee as described in the table above. Once you receive a placement offer, you’ll pay a £100 deposit to confirm your place. You pay the balance of your programme fee within 30 days of confirming your placement. View our full booking T&Cs here.

The cost of flights and insurance are not included and should be funded by participants. We encourage you to speak to your university about potential funding available for costs such as flights, visas and insurance. We have selected our destinations partly because of the ease and relatively low cost of the visa, which also allows you to get paid whilst on placement. Our destinations are also conducive to you picking up some additional hours of paid hospitality or tutoring work alongside the placement in order to fund your stay.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the placements paid?

Yes. Companies are required to pay a stipend which at least covers rent and food for each 6-month placement. The exact stipend varies between companies and may be negotiable in some cases.

It may be possible for graduates to supplement their placement stipend with additional ad-hoc tutoring or hospitality work outside of your placement, but this is not something we actively support with.

Our destinations have a Youth Mobility agreement with the UK. This means that UK citizens meeting the simple eligibility criteria can work in that country for at least 6 months without requiring a work permit or sponsorship from an employer. We will offer guidance on the visa application process.

The exact requirements, limitations and cost of the visa vary for each destination. For example, in Singapore the maximum visa duration is 6 months, whereas in India it’s 2 years. In Taiwan you receive an initial 6-month visa, which can be extended in Taiwan for a further 6 months.

Potentially, but this varies a lot depending on your university, eligibility and the broader funding environment.

Some universities have specific funding schemes to support graduates into work. In 2026 there is Turing Scheme funding for graduates to undertake overseas work placements, but this varies from university-to-university and the scheme is currently being reviewed by government in line with the UK returning to the EU Erasmus+ programme.

It is worth speaking to the careers/employability lead in your faculty, the university’s central careers team and the study abroad / global opportunities team at your university.

Yes, both.

We offer students or graduates a small fee for referring a friend who goes on to start a placement with us. Your friend will also receive a modest discount on their programme fee.

We have a structured referral process for individuals, companies or membership bodies such as chambers of commerce who refer companies to us.

For more information on both referral tracks, please email us to get started.

Our initial set of placements are with companies from our founder’s network. Jamie’s previous startup Pagoda Projects organised internships around the world for thousands of students over a 15 year period. Our first Interworking placements are mainly with companies who have hosted interns successfully in the past through Pagoda Projects. Many of the companies have a former intern or former Pagoda Projects team member working for them now. Some of the companies have been referred to us personally by former members of our founder’s team.

We vet new companies through video calls and basic desk-based due diligence. We cannot visit every company’s premises in-person before a placement takes place, but over the next 12 months we are planning in-person site visits to our network of companies.

As standard, we do not offer in-person support during placements. Because we’re focused on graduates, we have prioritised keeping the programme fee as low as possible by avoiding too much wraparound that many grads don’t need.

Your main source of support in-country will be the colleagues at your placement and other graduates on our programme. We’ll signpost you towards organised networking and social events in the city you’re working in.

We do offer the option of paying an additional fee for an extra layer of on-site support, with a member of our network offering an airport pickup and accommodation transfer, plus ongoing support over whatsapp.

Yes. Please send us an email with your phone number and availability and we’ll give you a call.

This form is for our 6-month placement programme in Asia. If you’re looking to certify your self-sourced experience abroad as Interworking, head to our Certification Page instead.
