1. About These Terms
1.1 Scope
These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the confirmation, booking, and payment process for the Interworking international placement programme ("Programme") operated by Interworking Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 17172638 ("Interworking", "we", "us").
1.2 The Agreement
By completing your Programme Booking Form and checking the acceptance box, you ("the Participant", "you") enter into a legally binding contract with Interworking under these Terms.
1.3 Relationship to Other Policies
These Terms apply specifically to the booking, fee schedule, and cancellation rules following a successful placement match. They sit alongside our core Health & Safety Policy and operate in conjunction with the specific workplace agreements provided by your host company.
2. The Booking & Confirmation Process
2.1 Trigger for Booking
Interworking operates a zero-fee application and interview process. These Terms are only issued to you once:
Interworking has successfully introduced you to a host company in Taiwan or Singapore.
You have completed the company's interview process.
The host company has extended an official placement offer, and you have confirmed your acceptance of that offer to Interworking.
2.2 The Booking Form
Upon confirmation of your placement, you will be issued a Programme Booking Form. On this form, you must explicitly declare your finalized Placement Start Date.
3. Fees & Payment Schedule
3.1 Total Programme Fees
The total cost of the Programme is £1,195.
3.2 The Placement Deposit
To secure your confirmed placement and lock in the host company's commitment, a £100 deposit ("Placement Deposit") is processed by credit or debit card immediately upon submission of the online Booking Form on interworking.io. This deposit is required to formalize your acceptance of the position and finalize your enrollment in the cohort.
3.3 The Balance Payment
The remaining portion of your total fee ("Balance Payment") is £1,095.
3.4 Balance Payment Procedure
The Balance Payment must be paid in full within 30 days of completing this form and thereby confirming your booking. You will receive a payment request email that will contain your specific payment deadline.
You will be provided with two secure options to settle the balance:
Bank Transfer (This is our preferred method): Transfer funds directly to the Interworking UK company bank account using the banking details provided in the payment request email.
Online Card Payment: Pay securely via credit or debit card using the payment form on the Interworking website.
A formal electronic receipt will be automatically generated and emailed to you as proof of payment once the funds have cleared.
3.5 Failure to Pay Balance
Because host companies plan their operations around your confirmed arrival, late payments create significant operational risk on our part and for host companies. If the Balance Payment is not received by the due date, Interworking will issue a formal reminder allowing 7 days to make payment.
If the balance remains unpaid after this grace period, Interworking reserves the right to cancel your booking, withdraw your placement allocation, and retain your £100 Placement Deposit to cover administrative costs.
4. Cancellations & Refund Policy
Because your booking is processed after a host company has already committed to your placement, changes to your status impact both Interworking and the partner employer. Refunds are strictly applied based on the cause of cancellation:
Cancellation Scenario: Voluntary Withdrawal (You change your mind, accept another job offer etc.)
Deposit Refund Status: Non-Refundable
Balance Refund Status: Refundable (If already paid)
Additional Actions / Conditions: Notice must be provided in writing. If you withdraw less than 1 month before departure and the balance has been auto-charged, the balance will be returned but the £100 deposit is forfeited.
Cancellation Scenario: Official Visa Rejection (Through no fault of your own)
Deposit Refund Status: 100% Full Refund
Balance Refund Status: 100% Full Refund
Additional Actions / Conditions: You must provide official, written documentation of the rejection from the relevant immigration authority (Taiwan or Singapore) to trigger a refund of your programme fee.
Cancellation Scenario: Host Company Cancellation (Company pulls out or ceases trading before your placement commences)
Deposit Refund Status: Conditional
Balance Refund Status: Conditional
Additional Actions / Conditions: Interworking contractually commits to finding you an equivalent alternative placement. If an alternative match cannot be secured, you will receive a 100% full refund of your programme fee.
5. Participant Obligations
By booking your placement, you commit to preparing for your international departure in good faith. This includes:
Visa Diligence: Actively pursuing your Youth Mobility Visa (Taiwan) or Work Holiday Pass (Singapore) in accordance with the timelines and signposting provided by Interworking.
Professional Conduct: Maintaining professional communication with your assigned host company supervisor throughout the pre-departure onboarding phase.
Exclusivity: Agreeing not to bypass Interworking to negotiate alternative employment, compensation adjustments, or structural changes directly with the introduced host company without our explicit written consent.
6. Limitation of Liability
6.1 Our Role as Facilitator
Interworking acts as a placement coordinator and platform intermediary. While we conduct rigorous desk-based due diligence and leverage an established structural network, we are not liable for sudden operational changes, financial insolvency, or internal HR disputes arising within the host company prior to your start date.
6.2 Financial Cap
Interworking’s total aggregate liability to you under any legal theory or claim relating to the booking process shall be strictly capped at the total amount of fees (Deposit and Balance) you have actually paid to us at the time the liability occurs.
7. Governing Law
These Terms, their interpretation, and any non-contractual obligations or disputes arising out of or in connection with them are governed entirely by the laws of England and Wales. Both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales to resolve any legal claims.
