The Interworking Course
Interworkers complete this reflective online course alongside their placement. The course culminates in our Certificate in International Professional Practice.
How to use this course:
Although you can complete the course during your placement, we recommend starting the course before you leave the UK.
Each module has lessons which introduce the topic, outline some theory using engaging formats like video and podcasts, and bring the learning into context using case studies. Some modules send you out on some external hands-on learning to develop skills using specific software in relation to the module.
The final section of each module must be completed during your placement as it involves reflection on your placement experience and applying it to the theory from the previous sections. This final section recaps the earlier content and prompts you to reflect on situations you’ve experienced during your placement.
You can complete modules in the order that makes most sense to you based on your priorities and interests, they do not need to be completed in order.
We designed the course to serve 3 purposes:
- Prepare you for your placement.
- Help you reflect upon your learning during the placement.
- A means to clearly articulate your learning and skills development to future employers.
Course Outcome:
The objective of the course is to provide future employers with a clear and validated signal that you have developed key skills for the modern workplace and applied knowledge during your placement.
